Spring Season 2023

Spring softball season is just around the corner and we are looking forward to a great season. The New South Softball league is primarily an LGBTQ+ league. We will begin our Spring season on March 5th and run through June depending on possible rainouts (total of 14 weeks). We are looking for new players of all skill levels from beginner to experienced. We have existing teams as well as teams that are forming that are looking for players. If you would like to form a new team to enter in the league you can contact us for info, we would love to have more teams added to our league. Player fees are $75. (If paying online: $85 ). In addition, there is a $300 team fee.

We play games on Sunday afternoon at 12:00, 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00 pm. Teams play 2-3 games each Sunday.

The New South Softball League (NSSL) is a member of the North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance (NAGAAA). This form will assist the NSSL in obtaining the necessary information to ensure our records remain up-to-date and verify compliance with NSSL and NAGAAA league rules.

Further, by my signature as a player or non-player, I agree that in consideration for the right to play as a member NSSL and in consideration for permission to play on the field arranged for by your team or the NSSL, voluntarily elect to accept and assume all risks of injury incurred or suffered by me while practicing or playing as a member of a team or the NSSL; while serving in a non-playing capacity as a team member during practice or play by other teams or by other persons on my team; and while on or upon the premises of any and all of the fields arranged for me by my team or the NSSL for practice or play. I release, discharge and agree not to sue the team or NSSL, the field owners or other entity designated to their owners, officers, agents, employees, associations, or any other person, entity connected with the team, league, or field for any claim, damages, costs or cause of action which I have or may in the future have as a result of injuries or damages sustained or incurred by me from whatever cause including but not limited to the negligence, breach of contract of wrongful conduct of the parties hereby released.
